We design, manufacture, and sell buttons! From one to a thousand–or more–we’re your source for locally pressed buttons for pretty much any need you can think of.

How much do buttons cost?
For custom buttons for your business it begins at $45 (plus a $20 setup fee) for up to 20 buttons of one design in the sizes of your choice. In most cases, just a few sales will pay for the cost of your entire order–and then they just keep making money without you having to say a word. We aim to turn around all orders as quickly as possible, and rush services are available

What size are the buttons? What are they made out of?
We currently offer 1.25″ (a little bigger than a quarter) and 2.25″ buttons (about the size of a soda can bottom), and will be adding 1″ (about the size of a nickel) and 1.5″ buttons in the near future. Other sizes and shapes are available with extended timeframes. All our buttons are made with sturdy aluminum parts, designed to minimize pin rattle, and come with a protective mylar covering.

We will ship anywhere in the USA, as well as many other countries. Local delivery starts at $5, or B&D Comics will act as a drop-off/pick-up depot at no extra cost.

Do you have a retail location?
Not of our own, but we do retail our buttons. B&D Comics is our primary distributor in Roanoke, but we have hundreds of designs available for wholesale or consignment. We also have vendor tables at conventions and festivals in the Roanoke area throughout the year.

What kind of designs do you offer?
Whatever you need. Plain text, fancy text, vintage, professional, cultural, cute, geeky, humorous, and themes of all kinds. We can incorporate your logo or proprietary art, or start from scratch. Commercial designs are always customized for each customer–never cookie cutter.

Our retail lines stretch far and wide, with our most popular lines being vintage, geekery, fandom, humorous text sayings, and art/illustration. We tend to expand most based on what people want to see–so let us know what you like!
Where can I find button templates?
You can find our templates right on our site. If you need a format other than .psd, please let us know. If you’d rather, we can place your artwork into templates for you–most clients find this easiest.

300 dpi is preferred (200 dpi minimum). We print CMYK but can use RGB formats, and can take almost any raster or vector format file. If you’re providing pre-printed buttons, submit a test sheet first to make sure they’ll fit our machine with proper centering. We can use paper up to 110#, but lighter is better. (Our everyday standard is 27# to 53#.)

Can you turn something I found on the internet into a button?
Only if you can provide proof of public domain or open license. However, if you have a magazine, comic, book, any other published or pre-printed matter, we can buttonize that for you.
